Tribology Session “Tribology in Aerospace Parts Manufacturing and How to Integrate Existing Technology to Develop Aerospace Products”

Abstract
Recently, Thai government has issued the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan that aims to achieve sustainable development by reforming the existing industries and promoting new industries. Aviation is one of the new industries the having potential to succeed. Although Thailand has become a regional service and maintenance center for refueling, repairing, maintaining and refitting aircraft, the majority of aircraft parts and equipments are imports. In order to enhance the existing technology to develop aerospace products within the country, it is crucial to determine the current status of Thai manufacturing industries and seek potential strategies to strengthen Thai aviation industry. Since Tribology has played important role in manufacturing, Thai Tribology Association (TTA) and National Metal and Materials Technological Center (MTEC) will organize a session “Tribology in Aerospace Parts Manufacturing and How to Integrate Existing Technology to Develop Aerospace Products” to bring in experts and Thai manufacturing companies to exchange ideas and experiences in aerospace parts manufacturing.
